A question for anybody who believes that climate change is a problem that needs to be solved: what is the right temperature?

Or the right level of atmospheric carbon dioxide? Or the right amount of arctic sea ice? Or the right # and catalog of species?

The linked article above doesn’t answer these questions, and it certainly takes a different implicit approach to the problem as I do, but it asks an important question nonetheless. I ask the above questions in all seriousness to anybody who wants to spend billions or trillions of dollars fighting climate change. If you can’t answer the above – and, importantly, provide some rational justification for your answers – then I would further ask: is it worth spending the money?
