Here is the story of a boy who received a drug that he shouldn’t have (had the system worked the way it normally does). But the system was changed in response to public outcry. This story is Evolve.

The system – drug and medical device regulation – is bad. It’s bad because of the way it works when it works the way it is supposed to, and it’s bad because of the way it changes in response to cases like this.

And, to top it off, the mother is completely ungrateful, saying, ““Glory to God,” she said, “the medicine is working.”” Glory to who? Should be Chimerix. (Not to mention that it is probably too soon to say if the medicine is actually working.)
