BO is at it again, saying stuff that I wouldn’t believe if it was in a TV show, book, or movie. But it’s actually happening…what world is he living in?
(This is basically a follow up to this piece from over the weekend.)
First, there’s this:
“You don’t get to extract a ransom for doing your job, for doing what you’re supposed to be doing anyway … just because there’s a law there that you don’t like,” Obama told reporters in the White House briefing room.
Oh, really? Then how and why did you Mr. Prez delay the employer mandate?
And then this little gem:
“The federal government is America’s largest employer,” Obama said.
Yep, and I’m not really sure that’s something to be proud of or pointing out when part of the problem – at least as the Republicans see it – is that Federal government is spending too much. So tell me again, Mr. Prez., about compromise and working across the aisle…
And finally, there’s this whale:
“There’s a pretty straightforward solution to this,” Obama told reporters after a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. “If you set aside the short-term politics and you look at the long term here, what it simply requires is everybody to act responsibly and do what’s right for the American people.”
Oh, really and what is right for the American people? All 300 million of us who apparently have the same wants, needs, desires, hopes, ambitions. What, Mr. Prez, is right for all of us? Another way to think of this is: yes, Mr. Prez, there is a straightforward solution to this, and it’s for you to tell your buddies in the Senate to pass the bill that the House delivered to them. Don’t like that idea much do you? No…what was it you were suggesting about doing what’s right for all us homogenous American People?
