And if you’re inclined to be cautious, remember, the precautionary principle is irrational. It is always up to he who asserts something to be the case to prove that it is the case (and, remember, the assertion has to be framed positively).

So, in the case of GMOs, the assertion to be proved is something like: GMOs cause harm. It is this assertion which has never been shown to be true (see links above, for starters).
