BO spoke at Knox College today. Who is this guy’s speech writer? Apparently somebody who hasn’t been around Washington for the past 5 years.

From the speech.

“I care about one thing and one thing only, and that’s how to use every minute of the 1,276 days remaining in my term to make this country work for working Americans again,”

Ridiculous exaggeration. My guess is that BO – himself – actually spends about 1 day a month (in total) seriously thinking about economics. Not to even mention the meeting he has every Tuesday morning where he decides who lives and dies.

“Over the past couple of years in particular, Washington hasn’t just ignored the problem; too often, it’s made things worse,”

Yep. Couldn’t agree more Mr. President. And guess who lives and works and runs the politics of Washington? Oh, right, you do.

Republicans have been in his way, he said. And since his second term began six months ago, the “gridlock has gotten worse.”

Gotten in the way? That’s just a loser whining about not being able to muster a majority to get bills passed. Mr. President: thems just the rulz of the game.

“What we need isn’t a three-month plan, or even a three-year plan, but a long-term American strategy, based on steady, persistent effort, to reverse the forces that have conspired against the middle class for decades.

A decades long conspiracy against the middle class? Let’s think about this. In the 70s, say, there were no affordable cell phones, no iPads, no desktop or laptop computers, oil was being rationed, gluten free didn’t really exist as a thang, incomes were lower, crime was higher, everything cost more (e.g., houses and gas), and just about everything else in the world of the middle class was worse than it is today. So…about that conspiracy…

And those four are taken just from the abridged version.
