Wired.com has a cute post on the topic. Not terribly illuminating, but worth pointing out just to remind all of us that tomorrow will be awesome.
For thought: while we think about our typical online purchases being delivered same-day, what other innovations could come as a result of this service becoming more widespread? I posted recently on Coke becoming a “vector” for delivery of medicine into developing countries – a vector that wouldn’t exist if Coke were not ruthlessly trying to make a profit. What other profound good will come from the fact that the supply chain is getting to be so efficient that I can order Ben & Jerry’s Phish Food at Noon and have it delivered to my door by dinner time?
