From the State of the Union:

“Nothing I’m proposing tonight should increase our deficit by a single dime. It’s not a bigger government we need, but a smarter government that sets priorities and invests in broad-based growth,” Obama said.

Uh huh. And what was your government for the last four years? Smarter? If not, why not? If so, how can it get smarter now?

This is the imbecile statement of the year. Is “smarter” (or some reasonable synonym thereof) not the goal of all governments in all times? Isn’t this the goal of every politician. Answer: yes. But does it happen? No. Why not: because it’s just a euphemism for central planning. It’s code for: I believe I can better run your life than you can. I believe that I am smarter about making decisions for you than you are. Obey ME, and I will save you.

Why this claim that tomorrow government will somehow be better than today or yesterday? If you could make it happen, BO, then why haven’t you done so already? The credibility for this statement is 0. And even if it could be done, it’s NOT GOOD TO DO IT. Central planning DOES NOT WORK!!!

Fail, fail, fail.
