What should an educator do when they cannot make kids smarter by teaching them stuff? If you guessed “don’t teach them stuff”, then you’re correct! At least, you’re on the same page as the French.

And what should you do if giving students A, B, C, D, and F letters grades is too complicated? If you said, “give them ES, P, I, N, and M” grades instead, then you’re correct! At least, you’re on the same page as Montgomery County MD.

The super funny thing about this second tidbit is that ES is supposed to stand for exceptional. See it? … … …oh, right, there it is: exceptional does not include the letter ‘S’.
