PK wrote a…well, let’s just leave it at: he wrote an article about health care in the NYT yesterday.

Russ Roberts at Cafe Hayek has excellent commentary.

I want to elaborate on one of Russ’ points. Russ pulls out this sentence from PK’s article (this a quote of PK’s):

“So there’s no real question that lack of insurance is responsible for thousands, and probably tens of thousands, of excess deaths of Americans each year.”

Uh huh. The “answer” that PK gives is 1000-9999 deaths/year. And the error bar? 10,000 – 99,999 deaths/year. Even if the statement is true, the statement is meaningless because of the error bars!!!!
