I often rail against politicians who use budgets to buy votes. Here is Don B doing the same.

Note that budgets, particularly the vast budgets of most states and the Federal budget, make any individual’s or corporation’s or SuperPAC’s campaign spending look paltry in comparison. Not only is campaign finance reform usually a violation of the 1st Amendment, but it is also usually insignificant compared to the ability to buy votes with existing budgets and policy gimmicks.
