I wrote Evolve because of a deeply held belief – formed over years of empirical observation more than any deeply rooted philosophy – that freedom (to think, to act, to succeed, and, importantly, to fail) is the ultimate means of advancement. The theme of Evolve is: how much better could we (individuals and humanity) be if we were more free?
