I hear people complain a lot about how fat cat Wall Streeters are rich because they have investment opportunities that the rest of us don’t have. With the exception of very very exotic commodities (that individuals DO invest in (usually not by choice) via mechanisms like state pension funds and teacher retirement funds) there is an over-the-counter security for virtually any asset that anybody can invest in.

Single family homes that have been converted into rentals? You don’t even have to buy the homes because now there’s a REIT that does all of it for you; you just have to buy the stock.
