Businessweek has a good article on the man and company behind “pink slime” – the low fat, bacteria-free, economical beef product that is often added to “conventional” hamburger in order to make it more less fatty.

If you were part of the frenzy that railed against pink slime I urge you to read the article. If, after reading, you don’t change your view of the innovative, cheap, safe, and healthy product please comment. Tell me why. Tell me why you want to see a company destroyed, hundreds lose their jobs, an innovator obliterated, and your fellow men subjected to higher food prices for less safe and less healthy food.
